Perhaps you’ve seen Las Vegas Body Art’s work and you may be wondering what it would be like to be transformed into a painted lady. Modeling for us is not only fun and exciting, it comes with great incentives. This section of our site is devoted to informing those of you out there that have always wondered what it would be like.
There are always opportunities for models, both experienced and new to this form of modeling, to participate in the never ending range of projects.
Being painted and modeling for LVBA has awesome benefits. Perhaps the greatest benefit of all is the professionalism offered to every model by the LVBA staff. It is imperative that everyone attending the shoot has an incredible time and is treated with respect.
Modeling isn’t all peaches ‘n cream though. You might be a model with experience or you may be modeling for the first time. No matter what level you are at, modeling takes a great amount of work.
Based upon recent demands on LVBA’s schedule, we’re currently only accepting three types of shoots with regards to working with models.
1. Models Trade Us aka Time For Print (TFP) – We take on a very select few models on a TFP/TFCD (Time For CD) basis. When we do, typically, our artists will body paint and shoot an equal amount of time in whatever genre the model desires for use in their portfolio. Image use for teh model will be allowed for all non-commercial purposes with appropriate credit given to the photographer and a link to this web site and/or the LVBA web site (if applicable).
2. We Hire Models – Some of our projects allow us to hire models for specific shots and events. You will most likely not receive copies of the images for your own use, as we would be buying exclusivity of the images. This may require a test shoot in advance of hiring.
3. Other – Occasionally, a model will have an idea or a project that would be a great addition to our own body of work. In circumstances like that, we sometimes will forgo any sort of arrangement outlined here, in order to accomplish the idea or project – worthwhile incentive for models to approach LVBA with their own ideas.
We’re always looking for creative and innovative models to inspire new art and we value their contribution in the development of dynamic images. LVBA utilizes our photographic skills to develop original content like those shown on this web site. These photo shoots focus on classical poses with an emphasis on form, shape and tone. The length of the shoots is typically three to four hours. All models participating receive compensation as listed above or a combination thereof. Details are discussed at an initial shoot introduction/meeting.
Las Vegas Body Art has worked with several models and has a long list of references, which are available upon request. We allow, and encourage models to bring a friend or escort for first-time shoots. The comfort of the model is very important, and it doesn’t do anyone’s work any justice if the model is uncomfortable. Additionally, our assistants are available to assist models any way possible during studio photo shoots.
If you think you have what it takes and are up for the challenge, check out the Modeling Opportunities page on this site for more information.
